Business Insider said: “The 6-year-old Ryan of YouTube’s Ryan ToysReview made $11 million in revenue this year from his YouTube account, according to Forbes.”

It also explained how he got popular: “Ryan ToysReview started out slowly until a July 2015 video went viral. The video featured Ryan opening and reviewing a box containing more than 100 toys from Pixar’s ‘Cars’ series. It has close to 800 million views.”

Ryan's ToysReview has changed the channel name to Ryan's World in October, 2019. And he published a video explaining why there's No More Ryan ToysReview.

So I did a quick SocialBook data run on this channel. Here is the channel’s SocialBook data:

By January of 2020, the channel of Ryan ToysReview has more than 23 million followers, with a total view of 36 billion, and over 1,600 posts, with an average view of 4.3 million.

The highest number of views from one of his videos is over 900m, and the lowest is 6,000. Wow, we can see how fast this channel has grown during the past 3 years, from the ground up.

The average number of views of the latest 10 videos is 2 million, which represents how his videos have been doing recently.

His average view counts to subscribers is super high—over 160 percent. It means a lot of non-subscribers also watched his video. More information on SocialBook reveals that his like per video is around 11.6k.

According to the article, the video that got him popular is that “100 toys from Pixar’s ‘Cars’ series.” So I took a look at his Top Performance Video.

Wow, actually, so far, his highest video has got more than 1.9 billion views now—it is a video titled “HUGE EGGS SURPRISE TOYS CHALLENGE Inflatable water slide Disney Cars Toys Paw Patrol Spiderman.” It already has an accumulated 1.9 billion views. This video was posted in April of 2016, which is much newer than the “100+ cars toys GIANT EGG SURPRISE OPENING Disney Pixar Lightning McQueen” video. The 100 car video is still his second top video.

So, if the video is old enough, it will definitely generate more views, I am getting curious about the performance of his recent videos.

Not bad at all. The video which was posted on Nov of 2017 already has almost 6 million views now. And the second one also has over 4 million views! Good job, Ryan!

I was just wondering, If a brand hired him to do a review, what would be his highest performance?

So, Walmart sponsored him for a review, and it got Walmart 19m views. WOW!

As a business person myself, I did a quick calculation. From industry standard, if for every 1000 views, I pay him $50, then for this much, I should pay him … my calculator is dead.

So, I didn’t really know the extent to which Walmart sponsored him for that video, but here are some numbers one might take into consideration: The estimated price range of his video is around 80,000. What does it mean? It means, usually, for this type of channel, people pay 80,000 for a sponsorship. Hmmm … similar to Zillow’s Zestimate price for the house. Everyone knows that every house is different. Walmart might pay him a lot; they could pay him just $1000 or offer him life-long free toys to play with. Well, I’m just guessing, but if this channel only charged me 70,000 to review my brand, then every 1000 views is only under $5! I definitely will hire him within a second, especially if the channel’s subscribers all match my audience demographic.

The majority of the channel’s audience is from the US and UK. Wow! More male than female. Interesting! So, does it mean more dads like to give their kids their phones to play with in order to focus on doing their own things? Lol. I guess it is true!
So, the majority are the young parents from ages 25 to 34 who have young kids; this makes sense. The interest of the audience is in Lifestyle and Hobby! Cool!

So, let’s assume my brand focuses on that demographic—young parents who have young kids live in the US and UK.

So, this channel’s average view is around 17 million, with a sponsored average view of around 8m. It usually requires 1 month for a video to get nearly 3m views.

Now, if I am going to sponsor him for a video, it would take a couple of months for him to reach his best performance, as the recent record shows that it took about 3 months to get 5 million views.

I am just wondering if my competitors had already worked with him.

Wow! So, for sure, this channel has mentioned or worked with a lot of brands. Now, to see if my things are similar to any of those, I clicked on ‘Lego.’
There are 212 Total Mentions, with Total Views of 4 million.

I got curious about his highest performance videos.

And the video that got this channel popular has viewers from all different places all scattered around the world.

Generally speaking, I know the majority of the channel’s demographic is from the US, but for different videos, it might get really popular in a particular area.

Those are just my guessing from the data itself. It could have more interpretations too—e.g., the channel might be amplified by a particular reason such as if that brand wants to focus on a certain country or certain age demographic from his audience or from the audience that are not his subscribers yet.
