1. PEWDIEPIE: 105 Million Subscribers


Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg aka PewDiePie has become the world’s most successful YouTuber in the US, having the highest subscriber count. Felix went to the Chalmers University in Gothenburg where he pursued a degree in Industrial Economics and Technology management, though soon he realized that university life was not his forte and decided to drop out and start his own YouTube career. After dropping out of college Felix took up work at a Hot Dog stand to support himself and bought his first gaming equipment by selling some of his earliest artwork. On August 15, 2013, PewDiePie became the most subscribed YouTuber. He has over 95 million subscribers with an estimated net worth of $20 million. He’s currently engaged to his longtime girlfriend and fellow YouTuber Marzia Bisognin.

2. COCOMELON- NURSERY RHYMES: 84.1 Million Subscribers


ABC- kidsTV- nursery rhymes is a YouTube channel currently going by the name Cocomelon- nursery rhymes. The channel was created and is being maintained by a California based American company named Treasure Studio Inc. foundeld in September 2015. The channel is a kids creative channel which contains kids poems, nursery rhymes, songs which have a unique animation of their own.

Cocomelon is the second most-viewed YouTube channel, following T-Series.

With a subscriber count of 84.1 million and 64.6 billion views it has become the second fastest growing channel on YouTube and one of the top US YouTube channels.Cocomelon is the most-subscribed kids YouTube channel. The channel was previously known as ThatsMeonTv back in 2006 and was known to make 2D animation videos about the English alphabet and was consequently renamed to ABC -kids Tv in 2013. Around this time, the channel focused its content from the English alphabet to nursery rhymes. However, it switched to 3-D animation in 2016 and finally rebranded itself to Cocomelon in 2018. The channel is a creative one, pushing forward ideas such as life hacks, DIY videos, and various crafting videos. The channel, which was created in 2016, is currently the seventh fastest growing YouTube Channel, with a subscriber count of 55.6 million, easily making it one of the top 100 most subscribed to YouTube channels in the US. With a total of 13.6 billion views, it is one the channels that gained 50 million subscribers rapidly, just in the span of 828 days. However, the channel has been scrutinized for using thumbnails which are ‘click bait’ time and time again.

Since its inception in 2009, the channel featured ‘trick shot’ videos; however, as of 2017, the members of the group feature videos that show athletic competitions amongst them. The channel has an estimated 7.8 billion views, which makes them one of the top 120 channels to be mostly viewed. With being the second most subscribed in the YouTube sports category and the sixth most subscribed overall, the channel has seen a rise in popularity. 5. MARSHMELLO: 45.4 Million Subscribers


Born in 1992, Christopher Comstock aka Marshmello, is an American DJ and an EDM producer. Having joined YouTube in 2015, he found the site as a means to share his own music, where he posted remixes of artists like Zedd and Jack Ü and later his own single ‘Alone’. Shortly after that he gained recognition for bringing his own unique mix to other artist’s songs and his own unique masked DJ persona, though it was heavily inspired by DeadMau5 and Daft Punk.

Being a music producer,Marhmello first started using Soundcloud as an outletto showcase his talent and soon after took to YouTube. Since he was young and a promising musician, other DJ’s such as Skrillex started to show their immense support to him by posting his tracks on their own Soundcloud pages. As of 2020, he has 45.4 million subscribers with an estimated net worth of $21 million.

Currently known as Fandango movie clips, the Los Angeles based YouTube channel and company delivers content mostly featuring various movie clips and movie trailers. Its current collaborators are Universal pictures, Walt Disney Studios, 20th Century Fox, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros, New Line Cinema and Castle Rock. The channel was first created in late April of 2006. In the year 2014, the channel and the company was bought by Fandango, hence, the change in name. The Ellen Show is a YouTube channel, created back in November of 2006, which is currently run and maintained by the Ellen DeGeneres show in collaboration with Time Warner. Being the 27th most viewed channel on the platform, the Ellen show has started to grow at a steady pace as it features sneak peek clips from various episodes of the Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show. It is the 18th most subscribed channel on YouTube and is currently sitting at about 37.4 million subscribers. 9. MR. BEAST: 30.2 Million Subscribers


Formerly known as MrBeast6000 and currently known as Mr. Beast, Jimmy Donaldson is an American YouTuber who owns a challenge and competition based YouTube channel. The YouTuber makes creative content in which he is seen doing unique challenges and some of his videos also feature him donating money. Due to his wholesome content, Jimmy’s channel has not only become quite popular amongst viewers but also caused it to be one of the most loved and recommended channels in recent YouTube history.

Ironically enough, though, his channel first came to prominence after his videos were voted the ‘Worst intros on YouTube. Jimmy is mostly known for running his channel by himself though his roommates may step in to help him from time to time. Jimmy is also known to donate to female Twitch users as well. His channel is currently the 9th most subscribed channel in the United States, with a subscriber count of 35.2 million and 5.5 billion views as of June 2020.

10. BRIGHT SIDE: 35 Million Subscribers


Another YouTube channel that is owned and maintained by The Soul Publishing, Bright Side is one of the fastest growing YouTube channels. It focuses on content such as trivia and tips. Though the pace of the video uploading has increased since its inception, the channel seems to be working more on the quality of the video rather than the content. One of the things that have been scrutinized the most regarding this channel is that the list videos that the channel makes often lacks useful context and sources, not to mention providing misinformation in many of its videos and dragging the video for a longer span of time with useless commentary. Despite such criticisms, the channel still has a subscriber count of 35 million subscribers and as of this moment, it is the 37th most subscribed channel on YouTube.

Active since December 2013, Pinkfong! Kids Songs and Stories is a South Korea based YouTube channel owned by Pinkfong. The channel is the creator of various children’s jingles and interactive videos for kids, with the most noticeable content being ‘Baby Shark’. The channel’s main focus is children’s education and features two-minute-long videos that are immersive for young kids. Though the channel is most popular because of Baby Shark, the video is actually the most disliked video on the channel. During the years 2017 and 2018, he even surpassed PewDiePie as being the most viewed channel. YouTube is a huge part of Bieber’s life since he earned recognition through that platform. Taylor is one of the most acclaimed and successful singers of this generation, having millions of fans all over the world. She was born in Pennsylvania and moved to Tennessee when she was 14 to pursue a career in country music.
